Who we are
Titus is job management software for building and trade businesses, operated from Melbourne, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information for the Titus app (app.usetitus.com.au) and this website (usetitus.com.au), in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, for our New Zealand customers, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and business details (including ABN/NZBN) when you create an account.
- Job data you put in: daily logs, photos, documents, tasks, timesheets, contacts and related records. This is your business's data; we store it to provide the service.
- Billing details: handled by Stripe, our payment processor. We never store your full card number.
- Usage and device information: basic technical logs (browser, device type, errors) to keep the service running and secure.
How we use it
- To provide the Titus service to you and your team.
- To process your subscription and send service emails (invoices, invites, password resets).
- To provide support when you contact us.
- To improve the product. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your job data to train AI models.
AI-drafted Updates
If you use the Updates feature, the daily log notes you select are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to draft the update text. Drafts are generated on your request, are shown to you for editing, and nothing is sent to your client without your say-so.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers to run Titus:
- Supabase: database, file storage and authentication.
- Stripe: subscription billing.
- Resend: transactional email.
- Vercel: website and app hosting.
- Anthropic: AI drafting, only when you use that feature.
Some providers store data outside Australia and New Zealand. We choose providers with strong security practices and share only what each needs to do its job.
Share links you create
If you share a job with a client via a share link, anyone with that link can view the content you chose to share. You can revoke a share link at any time from the app.
Your rights
- Access and export: you can export everything you've put into Titus, any time, from Settings.
- Correction: you can correct your details in the app, or ask us to.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your account and data; we'll confirm before anything is removed.
- Complaints: contact us first and we'll do our best to sort it. You can also complain to the OAIC (Australia) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (New Zealand).
Security
Your data is protected by access controls enforced at the database level. Every record is scoped to your business, and your team only sees what you've given them permission to see. Data is encrypted in transit.
